Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee
Generation: Student Leaders Program Application 2017-2018

CJPAC is a national, independent, multi-partisan organization. Our mandate is to engage Jewish and pro-Israel Canadians in the democratic process and to foster active political participation. We are dedicated to helping community members build relationships within the Canadian political arena.

The CJPAC Generation program is designed to provide a select group of young, motivated and passionate high-school students with the opportunity to become more politically involved.

As a participant you will gather with other students throughout the school year and meet with a variety of powerful and insightful speakers. You will engage in thoughtful discussions that will enhance your political knowledge and help cultivate your political opinions. You will make valuable connections and expand your peer and professional networks – in turn, bolstering the voice of the Jewish community in Canada now and for the future. The program culminates with a trip to Ottawa where you will continue your engagement in the political process by meeting with elected officials and political staff.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Jewish high school students in Grades 10-12
  • An interest in politics and the Canadian political process
  • A commitment to attending monthly sessions beginning in November 2016, and trip to Ottawa in Spring 2018
