Fellowship Spotlight: Christi

Christi Basaraba currently works in the Office of the Minister of Indigenous Services Canada as the Senior Operations Manager and Regional Advisor for the Prairies.

She previously worked in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) as the Executive Assistant for Outreach. Among her responsibilities, she was responsible for the Prime Minister’s external invitation and meeting requests and coordinating various outreach operations. Most notably, she coordinated outreach operations for the Prime Minister’s St. Louis apology, and various official visits, including the President of Israel, Reuven Rivlin’s visit. Before moving into the PMO, she was an Intern at the Office of the Minister of Veterans Affairs and President of the Alberta Branch of the Young Liberal of Canada. She studied Business at Mount Royal University where in her final year she took part in the CJPAC fellowship. She credits the CJPAC Fellowship for expanding her skill set and organization abilities that are vital in her current position at the PMO.
