New Director of Marketing & Communications and General Counsel: Amanda Blitz

Please join us in welcoming CJPAC’s newest team member: Amanda Blitz

Amanda is our new Director of Communications & Marketing and General Counsel. She brings a wealth of experience, both in communications, marketing, media relations, crisis communications and law. Her varied career will be an asset to the team.

A note from Amanda:

“I’m so honoured that I get to be a part of an organization that not only supports democratic engagement, but also connects me to Canada’s Jewish and pro-Israel community. I look forward to meeting with CJPAC’s many supporters whose contributions help strengthen the Canadian political arena.”

Please find Amanda’s biography below and feel free to reach out to her directly at ablitz@cjpac.ca.

Amanda Blitz has had a varied career centred around communications and law. She is ecstatic to be able to combine the two as the Director of Marketing & Communications and General Counsel for the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (CJPAC).

She comes to us from the global law firm Fasken, where she was Counsel, Business Development and a Communications Specialist, creating the firm’s external and internal messaging. Amanda also worked in media and corporate relations at the Ontario Science Centre, where she learned the benefit of being part of an organization that engages and encourages Canada’s youth.

Prior to this, Amanda was a national news anchor for CTV News Channel, as well as a reporter at CHCH and other media outlets. She has also practised as a banking and finance lawyer in London, England at Clifford Chance LLP, and as a corporate lawyer at Goodman & Carr LLP in Toronto.

Amanda received her M.Sc from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and her LL.B. at Osgoode Hall Law School. She has held various other roles in Japan, New York and Washington, DC. When she’s not working, she’s usually having dance parties in her kitchen with her two sweet little girls.
