CJPAC Fellows Heading to Ottawa
This fall, four past CJPAC Fellows, Corey Lerman, Orli Yosef, Josh Zelikovitz, and Leore Zimner will be heading to Parliament Hill to begin year-long CIC internships with members of parliament.
Josh Zelikovitz, a graduate of Queen’s University will be interning with Liberal Member of Parliament Navdeep Bains. Josh was a fellow during the 2009-2010 school year, and later a CJPAC summer intern. Since beginning the Fellowship, Josh has become more active in politics, recently working on a number of campaigns in the upcoming Toronto municipal elections.
“While I’ve always had a strong interest in politics, it was the CJPAC Fellowship that gave me the much-needed know-how to become an effective political campaigner,” Josh remarked.
“Further, the Fellowship opened up new doors through professional networking.”
Leore Zimner, a recent graduate of the University of Western Ontario will be  working with Conservative MP Bob Dechert.
“The CJPAC Fellowship constantly stressed the importance of Jewish community involvement in politics,” said Leore.
“This encouraged me to maintain and enhance my own participation in Canadian politics, which ultimately led to my desire to become a parliamentary intern.”
Josh, Leore, Corey, and Orli are all participants in the Canada-Israel Committee‘s Parliamentary Internship.
