CJPAC is a national, independent, multi-partisan organization. Our mandate is to engage Jewish and pro-Israel Canadians in the democratic process and to foster active political participation.

Candidate Profile: 

At CJPAC, we’re working hard to accelerate our growth and increase our impact across Canada. The Director of Marketing and Communications will own our efforts to build awareness of CJPAC’s mission, expand our network of supporters, and increase those supporters’ engagement in our programs. 

The successful candidate will be a proven marketing leader with a track record of effective brand development, developing and executing data-driven marketing strategies, and building high-performing teams. 

Working in a not-for-profit environment, you will be adept at leveraging limited resources to achieve outsized impact. 

Skills & Abilities: 

  • 10+ years of marketing and/or communications experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
  • A degree in marketing or a related field. 
  • Results-oriented and data-driven, with demonstrated experience developing and executing creative marketing and communications strategy. 
  • Ability to manage pressure and prioritize effectively. 
  • Strong communicator and team leader with an attitude of ownership and a growth mindset. 
  • Experience in directing and shaping marketing concepts and content, from headlines and tone of voice, to visual direction and design. 
  • Experienced in digital and email marketing, including marketing automation. 
  • Well versed in measuring the impact of marketing activities and reporting on campaign outcomes.  
  • Adaptable to new and fast-changing environments, with a proven ability to navigate through ambiguity and stretch your comfort zone. 
  • Strong customer-service orientation, great interpersonal skills, and proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders. 
  • Familiarity with Jewish community dynamics and organizations. 
  • Experience in and knowledge about the Canadian political system is a bonus. 


Medical & dental coverage 

Vacation: four weeks per year. In addition, CJPAC observes all Jewish holidays. 


This is a hybrid position, based in Toronto. 

Toronto-based employees are required to work from our office two days per week, with the option to work remotely up to three days per week. 


  • Develop and execute CJPAC’s marketing and communications strategy, leading a lean but high-performing team. 
  • Develop marketing campaigns for multiple target audiences. 
  • Work closely with senior staff, board members, and advisors to define and evolve CJPAC’s brand identity for maximum impact. 
  • Ensure superb execution of all CJPAC marketing and communications activities. 
  • Leverage data and analytics to optimize CJPAC’s marketing and communications efforts across channels, including but not limited to email and digital. 
  • Support and coordinate the marketing and communications needs of internal stakeholders. 
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the CJPAC Advisory Board’s Marketing and Communications Committee. 
  • Maintain and implement CJPAC’s crisis communications plan. 
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring strong value for money.
