Government of Canada Honours Holocaust Victims and Survivors at the National Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony

On Tuesday I joined Holocaust survivors from across the country at the National Holocaust Remembrance Day Ceremony at the Canadian War Museum to reflect and to light candles in memory of the victims of the Shoah.

Please find below the text of my speech from the ceremony, a video of a statement delivered by MP Mark Adler in the House of Commons recognizing and thanking these survivors for their fundamentally important contributions to Canadian society, and an important statement by Minister Tim Uppal announcing that a site has been selected for Canada’s National Holocaust Monument:
