Job Posting: Election Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator will be based in a city where CJPAC has offices (Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver) and will work remotely until we return to the office. This is a temporary, part time position for 5-10 hours a week with the hopes of becoming full time for the 4-6 weeks of the election period (we anticipate that might be somewhere between August-October.) Anticipated start date is immediately. CJPAC’s activities during the election include recruiting volunteers and connecting volunteers with the campaign of their choice. The primary objective of the Volunteer Coordinator is to be the connection between volunteers and those campaign offices. The Volunteer Coordinator reports to the National Director of Outreach and Programming.

Responsibilities:

  • Help recruit volunteers through community events and initiatives
  • Reach out to those who have pledged to volunteer in the 2021 federal election
  • Reconnect with volunteers from past elections
  • Connect volunteers with campaigns of their choice
  • Keep accurate and up to date records
  • Help train volunteers/run volunteer clinics
  • Other tasks as required for the 2021 election

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Experience with recruitment and community outreach
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to be multi-partisan (This role requires the candidate embrace the idea of multi-partisanship and be able to work with and support people of all political affiliations.)
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Political campaign volunteer experience necessary
  • Experience with NationBuilder or another CRM is an asset
  • Bilingual is an asset
