MP Mark Adler hosts event to honour the 30th Anniversary Edition of ‘None is Too Many’

OTTAWA- On Tuesday February 26th MP Mark Adler will be hosting an event to honour the 30th anniversary edition of the book ‘None is Too Many’ by Irving Abella and Harold Troper.

The event will feature speeches by Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney and by Dr. Irving Abella.

“The book ‘None is Too Many’ is a significant historic account of Canada’s shameful immigration policies during World War Two,” said MP Adler. “Unlike the disgraceful policies during the war, the Harper government is now a world leader when it comes to welcoming refugees, combating anti-Semitism and promoting Holocaust Awareness.”

“I am proud our country has taken a leading role in Holocaust Education efforts and in fighting racism, prejudice and discrimination in all forms,” MP Adler said.

The ‘None is Too Many’ celebration will take place at the Government Conference Centre from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All refreshments will be strictly kosher.

The Ottawa Jewish Community School choir will be performing at the event.

Media interested in attending the event must contact the office of MP Adler no later than Friday February 22nd, 2013.
