I agree and understand that the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (“CJPAC”) is committed to providing an environment in which everyone is treated with respect and dignity. I further understand that CJPAC has a duty to provide a safe and healthy environment.
I therefore agree to and will abide by the following Code of Conduct when I am participating in CJPAC events and functions, speaking on behalf of CJPAC, or conducting myself in any manner on behalf of CJPAC or in an official capacity with CJPAC:
- I will not engage in harassing, sexually harassing, discriminatory, abusive, violent, threatening or bullying conduct.
- I will treat all members, employees, contractors, fellows, guests, students, volunteers, and stakeholders of CJPAC with respect. This includes respecting a diversity of opinions, views and beliefs.
- I will conduct myself in a professional manner.
- I will not engage in conduct that will harm the reputation of CJPAC, including social media posts.
- I will not violate the privacy or confidentiality of any or all CJPAC members, employees, contractors, fellows, guests, students, volunteers, and/ or stakeholders.
- I will comply with federal, provincial, and/or municipal laws, including but not limited to laws around drugs, alcohol, property, theft, and assault.
- I understand that when participating in CJPAC events, either virtually or in person, I must not be impaired by drugs or alcohol.
I understand that if I violate this Code of Conduct, I can be suspended or permanently removed from involvement in CJPAC and barred from attending CJPAC events.
