Aaron Demes 
Journey to Curiosity: Leaning into our humanity.

Aaron Demes is a queer Jew who has spent over a decade working in politics, policy development, government, and stakeholder relations. He currently works at TransLink in government and stakeholder relations. If you want to get him going in a conversation, ask him about Star Wars, urban planning, cycling or his dog. He lives in Port Moody with his husband, Kyle.


Klara Mancini-Hupel  
Journey to Resilience: How endurance sports transformed my mental health 

Klara is passionate about the non-profit sector, leading social impact initiatives, and working to build community. As the Director of Campus Programming at the Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee (CJPAC), she oversees Canada’s top political training program for post-secondary students. In her spare time, Klara runs ultra-marathons and competes in triathlons – another way in which she connects with community.
 

Dr. Mor Eilig & Dr. Dynai Eilig 
Journey to Community: Volunteering amidst crisis  

Mor is a pediatrician and a co-founder of the JMABC, which unifies and represents Jewish healthcare workers across British Columbia. Dynai is an orthopedic surgeon and a co-founder of United Jewish Shield, which trains and deploys security volunteers for Jewish community events. After the October 7 attack, Dynai returned to Israel to join trauma teams as a surgeon and serve as a reserve fighter with the IDF.
