Every day, we work to strengthen Canadian democracy through political engagement. It’s a mission that’s more important than ever.

Working here isn’t always easy, but it’s full of meaning. We provide a supportive environment with constant opportunities to develop your skills, advance your career, and find new ways to advance our mission.

With around half of all Jewish Canadians living in Ontario, this new role is a unique opportunity to unlock CJPAC’s full potential in Canada’s largest province.

As the Regional Director for Ontario, you will lead our work to maximize the political impact of the Ontario Jewish community and its allies in federal, provincial, and municipal elections.

Supported by lay leaders and the national staff team, you will deliver consistent annual growth in donations and sponsorships from existing and new supporters.
  • CJPAC Programs: You will build awareness and support recruitment for CJPAC’s Fellowship, Generation, and campaign training programs in communities throughout Ontario, ensuring strong representation from the province in these national initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: You will maintain cooperative, mutually beneficial relationships with partner organizations and stakeholders in Ontario communities, positioning CJPAC as a valued team player and a cornerstone of the Ontario Jewish community.

Candidate Profile:

You have a growth mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a deep commitment to CJPAC’s mission. A willingness to travel and flexibility around work hours are essential. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of work experience, hands-on political experience, a strong understanding of the political landscape and Jewish communities in Ontario, and demonstrated leadership in civic or campaign settings.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional people skills, with ability to quickly identify common ground and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Strong leadership abilities, initiative, and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating engagement programs and events.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and demonstrate ownership in a demanding, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Growth mindset and commitment to continual learning and improvement.
  • Experience with fundraising and donor stewardship.
  • Experience building and working with budgets.
  • Desire to grow within the organization.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

Location: Toronto, with frequent travel to other Ontario communities.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Medical and dental coverage are provided.

Vacation for this role is four weeks per year. In addition, CJPAC observes all Jewish holidays.
