The Hon. Erin O’Toole, Leader of Canada’s Conservatives and of the Official Opposition, on March 26 2021, issued the following statement to mark Passover:
“Tomorrow at sundown, Jewish families in Canada and around the world will come together, in many cases virtually, to celebrate the beginning of Passover.
“As we mark the liberation of the Israelites from generations of slavery in Egypt, we must also remember that anti-Semitism continues to rise around the world, and even more disturbingly, here in Canada.
“Conservatives will continue to use our voice to stand with our Jewish friends and we reiterate our commitment to condemning and fighting anti-Semitism.
“On behalf of the Canada’s Conservatives, I wish you a happy Passover! May joy, hope, and blessing fill your homes.
“Chag Sameach!”
