The Organization

CJPAC is a national, independent, multi-partisan organization. Our mandate is to engage Jewish Canadians and allies in the democratic process and to foster active political participation.

Why work at CJPAC?

CJPAC aims to be the best place to work for dedicated, hard-working people who want to see Canada’s Jewish community and its allies thrive, grow, and contribute to democracy.

Every day, we work to protect and strengthen Canadian democracy through political engagement. It’s a mission that’s more important than ever.

Working here isn’t always easy, but it’s full of meaning. We aim to provide a supportive environment with constant opportunities to develop your skills, advance your career, and find new ways to reach our objectives.

Overview of the Position:

Responsibilities:

  • External ambassador: Own CJPAC’s relationships with donors and alumni across Canada, working closely with lay leaders and regional colleagues.
  • Internal champion: Strengthen CJPAC’s culture of donor and alumni stewardship, identifying new opportunities and ensuring these stakeholders’ needs are fulfilled across our programs and initiatives.
  • Strategic planner: Develop and execute CJPAC’s donor and alumni stewardship strategies, working with colleagues across the organization to ensure the right priorities, metrics, and tactics.
  • Concierge: Identify and implement opportunities for donors and alumni to maximize their political impact through CJPAC – both proactively and in response to emerging opportunities.

Candidate Profile:

CJPAC is seeking a team member with a growth mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and demonstrated leadership abilities. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Canadian politics (including some hands-on campaign experience), at least 5 years of work experience, and a deep commitment to CJPAC’s mission. A willingness to travel and flexibility around work hours are essential.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional people skills, with ability to quickly identify common ground and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Strong leadership abilities, initiative, and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating engagement programs and events.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and demonstrate ownership in a demanding, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Growth mindset and commitment to continual learning and improvement.
  • Experience building and working with budgets.
  • Desire to grow within the organization.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.

Location:

This position is based in Toronto. CJPAC maintains a hybrid work environment, with team members in the GTA working in the office two days per week.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Medical and dental coverage are provided.

Vacation for this role will start at four weeks per year. In addition, CJPAC observes all Jewish holidays.
