Fellowship Spotlight: Melissa

Melissa is a Member of Parliament for Thornhill. She is the Official Opposition Transport Critic. Melissa was part of CJPAC’s inaugural Fellowship program, which introduced her to politics and helped her understand the importance of community engagement. She went on to become a CJPAC Advisory Board Member, as well as a mentor for our Women in Politics program. Melissa started campaigning for candidates in her teens and has held senior roles in every National Conservative campaign since 2008. She has served as a communication leader in high-profile positions across the most senior ranks of the federal government and in the private sector. Melissa has been a community advocate, volunteer and one of Canada’s most sought-after public affairs executives.
