Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee
Fellowship Spotlight: Shir

Meet Shir Barzilay, the youngest woman ever elected to the National Council of the Conservative Party of Canada. Shir credits her start in politics to CJPAC.

“Things have come full circle for me. From being trained as a Fellow on how to run an election campaign, to applying that knowledge to my own campaigns, and now training others, I couldn’t have done it without CJPAC.”

This powerhouse now has a seat at the table and a say in making decisions about the governance of a major political party. That includes how decisions are made regarding nominations, policy prioritization and leadership. If that wasn’t enough, she is also the Senior Policy Advisor for the Office of the Ontario Minister of Environment, Conservation and Parks. Bravo Shir; we can’t wait to see where you go next!
