Marketing & Social Media Coordinator

Location: This position is based in Toronto. CJPAC maintains a hybrid work environment, with team members in the GTA working in the office two days per week.

Compensation & Benefits: Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. Medical and dental coverage are provided. Vacation for this role will start at 3 weeks per year. In addition, CJPAC observes all Jewish holidays.

Position Overview

As the Marketing & Social Media Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in our digital communications strategy, amplifying CJPAC’s message and inspiring political engagement across Canada. You’ll lead the creation of innovative content, manage social media channels, and collaborate across teams to bring fresh ideas to life, while supporting key programs and initiatives. Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy:

  • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans to support CJPAC’s organizational goals and events.
  • Develop targeted marketing campaigns to reach specific audiences and drive event attendance.
  • Analyze marketing data and metrics to optimize campaigns and report on performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all marketing channels.

Content Creation:

  • Draft and execute communications plans for events, ensuring messaging is clear, consistent, and impactful.
  • Create high-quality marketing materials such as newsletters, brochures, and promotional videos.
  • Write and edit content for the website, email campaigns, social media, and other communication channels.
  • Ensure content quality through strict adherence to brand guidelines and thorough proofreading.

Event Coordination & Promotion:

  • Support the planning and coordination of CJPAC and partner organization events from inception to execution.
  • Assist with setup and logistical support for on-site events to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attend events to capture photos, videos, and content for use in media communications and post-event promotions.

Social Media Management:

  • Develop and implement social media strategies across platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content—graphics, videos, and posts—that connect with our community.
  • Manage and maintain social media and marketing calendars using Monday.com, ensuring all campaigns run on time.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries across platforms, and actively engage with our online community.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media KPIs to inform future strategies and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all digital channels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in digital marketing and social media management
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and management tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite)
  • Basic graphic design skills with experience using Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and best practices
  • Familiarity with the Canadian political landscape and Jewish community is an asset
  • Experience with Salesforce and Marketing Cloud Account Engagement is an asset
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for storytelling and engagement
